I was informed yesterday that FUEL at the Rochester Church of Christ has been canceled. I decided that we would check out Element at Warren Woods Christian School only to discover today that it has been canceled until the fall. I was going to end up spending a lonely night at home with my animals when Ely Lambert of the Northeast Church of Christ came to my rescue. He invited our group to Laser Edge tommorrow night from 9pm until 12am. If you want to come, let me know ASAP! If you need a ride or help with money, I really need to know soon. The price for 1 game is $6. 2 games are $11 and 3 games are $15. I don’t know how many games we will be playing, but I am going to be there until everyone from my group decides to head home. I am hyped for this!

Tonight’s class will not be at the Sabella home. Originally we had planned to play tennis and b-ball at the park near the Sabella home. Unfortunately we had to call it off because of weather. I really wish I was a weather psychic sometimes! Anyhoo, we will continue to study Paul’s letter to the Galatians. Tonight we talk about where true justification comes from. *hint* It’s not from the law! Lucky, Frankie, and Pumpkin will continue to stare at the door until you arrive.

I am incredibly excited for the first of what might become an annual “Laughs and Lock-in” event. For those of you who don’t know, we will be meeting at the church tommorrow evening at around 6:30p. From 7-9p we will have improv comedy brought to you by John Wriston and friends as well as stand-up comedy from the one and only Matt Perry. Matt is a quality professional comedian who keeps it clean because of his love for Christ. He has an amazing testimony! After the laughs, we will share in worship and delicious pizza.
At about 10:30, we will head to the YMCA in Mount Clemens. Our group has the entire facility rented out for the evening. There will be ping pong, pool, fooseball, movies, games, racquetball, wallyball, basketball, dodgeball, and swimming. At 6am, we will head home exhausted with what I hope to be joy in our hearts. The cost is $20 to pay for Matt, the food, and the YMCA. If you need help with the money, I need to know ASAP (read: before the event). If you need a ride to and from the YMCA, please inform me as soon as possible. I sincerely hope to see as many of you as possible at this event.

We continue in our all new, fabulous study of Paul’s letter to the Galatians. Tonight we meet at the Wriston home to talk about how righteousness doesn’t come from knowing how to follow the rules. There will be much Guitar Hero, DDR, board game, and Nintendo Wii action in the mix. If it is nice enough outside, we will shoot some hoops. Bring your Bibles, a thirst for knowledge, and a hunger for righteousness. Sara, myself, and our little doggies look forward to seeing you.

Tonight is G.A.M.E. night. That’s right. It’s Great Awesome Mad-capped Entertainment. This will be our welcome back event for all the spring break travelers. We will enjoy games, fellowship, and delicious refreshments. This will be the start of our most packed week to date. Remember to get money to me for Friday’s lock-in as soon as possible. The cost is $20 but please contact me if not having enough money means you can’t go. I will work something out for you as I don’t want you to miss out on this awesome event. Click the link for “Major Events” in the left column of the page for all the details for Friday’s event.

Tonight we will be screening the movie “Invisible Children” at the church building. We will also be having a bit of Ugandan food. In Uganda, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) is trying to overthrow the Ugandan government. They are doing this through extremely violent means, including mutilation, rape, torture, massacres, and the abduction of children.
The children are forced to join the army at a very young age, and are brainwashed. In order to escape being abducted, massive numbers of children walk far away from home and sleep together in hospitals, bus parks, and other areas far away from the LRA camps. The children make this commute every night. They are the focus of the movie. We are watching the movie because we need to learn about the difficulties faced by people outside of our world and learn how we can help them.

This week we venture to the land of ROCK a.k.a. the Wilson home. We continue our newly birthed study of Galatians. This week we get a little A & E biography on Paul. I continue to find it amazing that a good portion of the Bible comes from a man who once lived to slaughter Christians. Bring ears to hear, a mind to consider, a heart to receive, and a Bible. Let me know as soon as possible if you need a ride or directions.

After experiencing a long and saddening hiatus, we return to our obsession with the sport of the future. I have racquets available, but would really like everyone coming to racquetball to purchase a pair of safety goggles. I don’t want to have to explain to your parents why you have an empty eye socket. The cost is $4 and we will be playing at 7:00pm at Player’s Athletic Club, 13750 E 11 Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48089. If you want to ride with me, meet at the Wriston home @ 6:30pm.
