Tonight, we will be having Thursday Night Study (TNS) at the good ‘ol Allen St. house. We might do some video games in my house, but I am sure you will prefer the centralized air of the Allen St. house. I have a volleyball net and the equipment for badminton. There is always basketball and board games if you’d prefer. I am really excited for every TNS of the summer. It’s good to actually get outside and get some exercise. Bring your Bibles, ears to listen, and a heart to receive.

Tonight, our Thursday night study is at Dodge Park in Sterling Heights. Dodge Park is located on Utica Rd. between 17 Mile Rd. and 18 Mile Rd. We will be playing volleyball, basketball, and ultimate frisbee (I even purchased a glowing frisbee for all night play). We will most likely order pizza at the park so bring some money with you. If we get rained out, we will head to a cheap movie at Silver Cinemas on Gratiot in Roseville and possibly get some ice cream. Let me know if you have any questions or need a ride. The Wriston-mobile leaves my house @ 6:00p. PEACE!

The first Thursday night study of the summer will be at the home of the Supersonic Sabellas! We are going to meet at Ali’s house and then head out to a local park. Ali informed me that everyone should bring tennis rackets and balls for tennis, money for concessions, and swim suits. Apparently we are going to a very nice and exclusive park in Grosse Pointe. If you need a ride, meet at my house around 6:00p. We will attempt to continue our study of the book of Galatians this evening so bring a Bible! If you have any questions or need a ride, please let me know ASAP.

6:30 pmto8:30 pm

Wow, there is a LOT going on this week. I hope that some of you decide take advantage of all the fantastic activities we have planned. First up is Thursday Night Study at the Simpson home. We will get started at 6:30p. Bring along your favorite games and a Bible. Ask me if you need to know how to get to the Simpsons’ or need a ride.

Friday night is Christian Comedy Night in Wyandotte. Performing this evening will be my good friend Matt Perry, Mike McClain (which some of you will remember from Laughs and Lock-in), and Joey ILO of “Last Comic Standing” fame. It should be a hilariously fun evening. We will be meeting at my house at 6p and getting back around 11p. If you want to pay $10, get me the money by Wednesday evening. Otherwise, the price of the ticket is $15.

Finally, and probably most exciting, is our first paint-ball outing of the season. We will be playing Saturday @ 10am at Red Run in Warren. Red Run is a park off of 14 Mile Rd., just west of Schoenherr in Warren. We will be meeting @ 10am in the parking lot at the corner of 14 Mile and Red Run St. If you want to ride with me, I am leaving my house at 9:30. Let me know in advance if you are riding with me. If you have any questions, call or e-mail me.

If anyone thinks we are having game night tonight as marked on the calendar, I apologize for the inconvenience. This is a pretty full week and I felt the need to cancel.

I really wanted to advertise this event a bit more to the youth group. However, I have not received much information from Rochester College regarding Elevate 2007. Elevate takes place June 24-30. It is an amazing camp held on the campus of Rochester College. Elevate includes crazy games, small groups, several exciting activities, engaging worship times, music, and amazing speakers. This year includes praise and worship by Shannon Williams, music by the band Salient, and the Emcee will be Chris Wise (a close and personal friend of mine). This year’s theme, “Hello My Name is…”, involves discovering our identity in Christ. You can pay through the web site http://www.rc.edu/elevate. The price is $175 before May 15 and $200 after. The money is well worth it. I have a lot of fantastic memories from Elevate and I hope you will as well.
