Well, it is fall and things are finally starting to get back on track. After a whirlwind summer, we move in to an incredibly busy fall. Things kick off Thursday at the Wilson home for study and fellowship. If you fancy yourself a musician, bring your instrument of choice and your best licks.
Friday and Saturday, the “Soul Lifting Celebration” takes place at Valley Christian Academy. Friday is a showcase of singing groups from the area. Saturday, we will attend some incredibly informative classes followed by a concert from “Deeper Still”. The class topics include archaeology, evolution, and the teenage years of Jesus Christ. We will meet Friday at 5:30 and Saturday at 8:30. Let me know as soon as possible if you plan to attend.
Next Saturday, September 15, we will begin playing paintball a bit more regularly. As of right now, we will be playing at Red Run @ 10am. This might change so keep in contact with me and keep checking the web site. For those of you who might not know, playing at Red Run is free. You just have to supply your own paint and air.
A couple big events are coming up in October that we need to start preparing for. October 6 we will be visiting Michigan’s biggest and best corn maze. The maze is supposed to be incredibly challenging. It will cost $6 per person (due September 23). Family and friends are welcome to attend. The following Saturday, October 13, we are going to attend Halloweekend at Cedar Point. In addition to the coasters and such, there will be 3 haunted houses, a Halloween parade, shows, and nightly attractions. The cost will be $35 (due September 30), unless we can’t get at least 15 people to attend. Let me know as soon as possible if you plan to attend these events. I will try to remind everyone through announcements at church, the bulletin, and the youth group board.
