I hope everyone is getting some use from this web site. It is the quickest and easiest way to find out what is going on with the youth group. Beginning in November, I will continue to place calendars in the mail boxes at church. However, adjustments are occasionally required and our google calendar is updated when changes occur. I am going to try to update this site every Tuesday with updates throughout the week when necessary.
Alright, let’s get down to business! Tonight we are bowling at Lakeshore Lanes in St. Clair Shoes @ 7:00p. If you need a ride, contact me earlier than 5:30 and I will arrange something. Otherwise, you are free to meet us at the bowling alley (located on 13 and Jefferson). The cost is $6 and includes two games and shoe rental.
November 2 we are attending at lock-in at the Northeast Church of Christ. There will be a cost involved (yet to be determined). Last year’s lock-in at Northeast was a lot of fun. If you have specific activities that you would like to see as a part of this event, let me know ASAP. November 12 we are attending a Relient K/Switchfoot concert to benefit “Habitat for Humanity”. The cost is $23. Contact me for further details. That is all for now. See you tonight!

Hello everyone out there in the vast land of the interweb! I just wanted to write a quick update regarding the events for the remainder of this week. Sorry if any of you think our schedule has been too light as of late. This week has been the Sara’s birthday/wedding anniversay spectacular. Every night so far has included some type of celebration. Fear not young ones! Tonight we are meeting for our usual Thursday night study @ 6:30. We are going to use the Allen Street house for this evening’s event. Planned for tonight is the usual mix of games and a viewing of Spider-man with Rifftrax included. If you don’t know what Rifftrax are, visit Rifftrax.com immediately.
For anyone going to Cedar Point, remember we are meeting at the Wriston house @ 9:00a on Saturday. Bring money for lunch (McDonald’s on the way) and dinner (in the park). I would estimate $15 for the day. Currently, we are planning to return to Roseville at 10:30p. Call me if you have any questions.
Finally, say a little prayer for Lucky and Frankie. Today they both received teeth cleanings and are feeling drowsy. Frankie is probably in a lot of pain as he was neutered AND had a tooth pulled. Thanks!

There has been a slight change in the plans for Saturday. Apparently, the corn maze had to change it’s hours to later in the day. This conflicts with the Secret Pal Revelation Dinner, which I have to perform at. We will instead be heading to Wiard’s Orchards in Ypsilanti. Wiard’s is closer and is much more than a corn maze. Unfortunately, the cost has risen to $10.50 a person which includes:
The Vortex
The Spine Chilling MindShaft
Corn Maze
Hippity Hop Holler
Fire Engine Ride
Karaoke
Fort Wiard Golf
Old West Hayrides
Giant Slide
Straw Mountain
Animal Petting Farm
Wiard’s 500 – Pedal Tractor Races
Noah’s Ark Inflate
Moonwalk
Bungee Run
Labyrinth
All of this should make for an amazingly good time. We will still be meeting at my house @ 9am. Try to let me know in advance if you plan to attend. Thanks and sorry for any convienience.

Hey everyone out there in the land of the interwebs! I was sitting here at my desk and I realized that it has been quite a while since I posted on the official web site of the Roseville Youth Group. I trust everything is going well for all of you. Hopefully some of the peeps newer to the group have started to use this web site as a way to keep updated with upcoming youth events. Feel free to make comments and send me any ideas you have for activities, fund raisers, and service projects. In particular, we are in need to of ways to serve the community. Even if you just have an elderly relative who is unable to take care of household chores, let me know how we can help.
This Saturday we are going to Best Maze, a gigantor corn maze east of Lansing. If you haven’t paid me already, the cost is $7. We are meeting Saturday morning at 9am and should return at around 1pm if not before. Let me know in advance if you plan to come. Next Saturday, the 13th, we will make our way to Cedar Point for Halloweekend. If you haven’t paid and wish to attend, I need $35 by tomorrow evening. We will be leaving for Cedar Point at 9am and returning late in the evening. Finally, tomorrow evening (Thursday @6:30), we are having our usual study time and wild, wacky fun. We are meeting in the Allen St. House to study world religions. This should be enlightening for us all. Contact me, John Wriston, if you have any questions.
