Greetings and salutations young and old alike. Welcome to the only traveling four ring youth group web site in the world! Wow, I really struggle to entertain myself sometimes. I don’t have too much to report this week. I regret to inform you that class is canceled for Thursday night as I am going to see our very own Sue Jamieson in ‘Grease’. Not actual grease… the musical grease… you know, like with ‘Grease Lightning’ and ‘Tell Me More’? (No John Travolta though… sorry ladies) We will resume our regular schedule next Thursday at a to be determined time and place.
And now for the important news. MONEY FOR ILLUMINATE IS DUE SUNDAY, MARCH 2. That is this coming Sunday! Don’t forget! Write it on your arm! Tie a string on your finger. Do whatever it takes! I want you all to come to Illuminate this year. It’s going to be fantastic. Even though I’ve talked about it like a zillion times now, Illuminate is a youth conference at the Rochester Church of Christ. There are going to amazing speakers, TWO great musical acts, TWO talented drama groups, and some powerful worship sessions. Illuminate takes place on March 14 and 15. We will leave on Friday at 4:30 and return in the evening on Saturday. The cost of $25 (due Sunday!) takes care of the conference and lunch on Saturday. We will be staying with Sara’s sister again this year. The only money you need aside from the $25 is a few dollars for pizza on Friday evening and enough for a nice dinner on Saturday evening. Don’t miss this event!!! If money is an issue, don’t be afraid to tell me and I will take care of it! PEACE!

I once was LOST but now I’m found, was blind but now I see. *sniff*

Howdy buckeroos!
Sorry, I just spent the past weekend in the south for WINTERFEST 2008! We had a fantastic time in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Everyone came back safely and the level of drama was very minimal. Winterfest was completely sold out this year with about 13,000 people in attendance. The worship, drama, art, teaching, etc. was amazing. I hope those you didn’t get the opportunity to attend this year’s event will be able to make the trip with us for next year. Winterfest is not only one of the most fun things we do all year, but it is also one of the most uplifting and inspirational experiences we have all year.
Winterfest is only the beginning of 2008’s journey of fun and enlightenment. This Saturday, February 23, we welcome Company from Rochester College to the Roseville Church of Christ. At 6:00p, we will begin with a time of worship. Then, Company will perform their drama meant to both entertain and encourage. After we are dismissed, refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall (a.k.a. church basement). For our group, and anyone else wishing to stay, we are going to order pizza, show a movie, and play some games. The movie choice is up to everyone, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer with some Rifftrax played over it. Bring $4 for the pizza and soda. We will wrap things up around 10:30p.
Finally, I am still accepting registration for Illuminate at the Rochester Church of Christ. Illuminate is a huge youth conference with great speakers, musical performances, drama, and much more to offer. Those who attended last year had a fantastic time. We will again be staying with the Brazles and their pooch named Mya. The dates are March 14-15. There will also be a program for adults. The cost for adults is $10 and the cost for students is $25. This cost covers the conference and lunch on Saturday. As always, don’t let cost be an issue. If that is the only thing holding you back, let me know as soon as possible. Well… that is all for now. Contact me with any comments or questions!

OK, so Company won’t be dressing up in wacky outfits like this… but wouldn’t that have been hilarious?

Yo yo yo all my party peoples! Shout out to my home boys and girls. Yep, I am stuck in the 80s hip-hop dimension. I can only be freed by beating the Sugar Hill Gang in a free style rap battle. This might take a while… Anyhoo, that silliness aside, there are a few important points of interest to share on this, the illustrious 7th day of February (Wow… can you use that many commas in a sentence?). This little week here before Winterfest is turning out to be a little busier than I first thought it to be.
Tonight at 6:30 we meet in the Allen Street House for another night of devotion to the Lord as we tip our goblets of rock to everyone’s favorite game, ROCK BIZZAND! I will spare you the details of how pumped I am for this. Tomorrow, as a special winter treat for all the kiddies, we are headed to The Fridge in Waterford. The price is $10 a piece to enjoy Michigan’s original refridgerated toboggan run. We meet at 5:30 in my crib if you are interested. Special high fives will be passed out to anyone willing to drive (I can even pitch in a few buckeroos for gas). I am down to one car but I am happy to announce that I have my permit to drive the bus and am well on my way to full commercial driver’s licensure! So, all this madness with needing drivers will end soon enough.
Make sure you get your money for Winterfest to me by Sunday. I also need permission forms. If you don’t have one, see me immediately! Without a permission form, you can’t go to Winterfest. It is MUY IMPORTANTE/TRES IMPORTANT/éžå¸¸ã«é‡è¦/VERY IMPORTANT! Do not pass Go! Do not collect $200! Proceed immediately to get me your permission form! Remember, we meet at 5:15 on Thursday to leave for Gatlinburg. We are meeting at the Roseville church building. Call me if you need a ride!
